What are the duties of Christian Education?

Every task provided by the church is Christian Education and the best way to grow as a successful community is to educate our church’s future leaders.

The Christian Education Committee coordinates and unifies the Christian formation program of the church. The committee provides Christ-centered learning experiences, which explore the Christian faith according to the reformed tradition, and how our faith relates to daily living. The Christian Education program strives to teach the Word of God, strengthen the faith and encourage members to grow in their calling to be disciples.

The Mission of Christian Education at Hope Presbyterian Church guides the educational programs by offering “Sunday School” for both adults and children. The Adult Forum meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 A.M. Our children are grouped by age in our Sunday School: Toddler (ages 2-4), Early Elementary (age 4 to Grade 2), and Upper Elementary (Grades 3-5). They meet during our worship time after Time with Children in the fall, winter and spring.

In the summer months our children remain and participate in the worship service.  A week in the summer is reserved for Vacation Bible School (VBS).  Quality childcare for those under the age of two is provided during worship services.

Sunday School is currently held virtually by Zoom.
